House Of Commons Goes Green With Biothene Today (Wednesday) the Chancellor announced a tax on single-use carrier bags - yesterday the House of Commons revealed that it is to embrace a green solution to the environmental problem caused by unwanted plastic bags. From next month the House of Commons shop will be giving customers biodegradable plastic bags made of Biothene™, a new material developed by Lincolnshire firm CFN Packaging and sold through its approved suppliers.
