Heat sealing specialists Proseal will be launching two new machines at Foodex, demonstrating the company's ability to offer a tray sealing solution to meet every type of food operation – from small scale production to the requirements of the fastest packing lines.
The new models illustrate the breadth of the Proseal range. The T2 is a hand operated tray sealing machine with a manual feed system, which is capable of up to six cycles per minute. It is ideal for trials or development work, small scale production or in food shops and delicatessens.
The new GT3 is Proseal's flagship top-of-the-range tray sealer. It is capable of sealing in excess of 150 trays per minute and is ideal for fast production lines, such as meat products and fresh fruit. Throughput speeds are maximised thanks to a unique three axis servo drive tray transfer system, which can automatically adjust for different tray heights. Another standard feature is Proseal's new Internet based secure gateway connection system that enables Proseal engineers to remotely access the PLC and HMI (touch screen) of each customer's machine from anywhere in the world to provide diagnostic support and implement software modifications.
Other Proseal models on display offer a variety of solutions for different production and throughput requirements. The GTR is a fully portable semi automatic two station rotary table tray sealing machine with automatic film feed and sealing speeds of up to 30 packs per minute. The GT0 is a high quality compact fully automatic tray sealer, while the GT1 and GT2 are both high speed machines, capable of up to 75 and 90 packs per minute respectively. The machines are ideal for a range of products including ready meals and convenience foods, fresh produce, bakery products and fish.
All Proseal machines combine a robust and hygienic construction with user-friendly design to maximise throughput and minimise downtime. The company's pioneering 'Auto Tool' facility enables tool changes to take place in a matter of seconds, helping to meet the need for both speed and flexibility on tray sealing lines.
A number of options are available to meet the particular requirements of different applications, including a 'free flow' gas flush to provide extended product shelf life. A key advantage of the Proseal system is that it does not need to pull a vacuum before flushing, and by removing one of the component parts of the sealing cycle, much higher speeds can be achieved.
